Riftpath

Riftpath is a desktop app for managing remote servers over SSH, SFTP and FTP. It records everything: every command, its output and every file operation, all in a searchable SQLite history. Everything else is built on top of that record: dashboards, curated tools, WordPress automation and an AI assistant that works from what you’ve actually done before.

What it does

• Connections and terminal: live SSH sessions in xterm.js, an SFTP and FTP file browser with in-app editing, and a searchable archive of every session.
• Fleet dashboard: server health, disk, uptime and stats at a glance.
• Infra and security suite: certificate watch, DNS checks, header scans, backups to Backblaze B2, a database browser, a config editor, code search and email alerts.
• WordPress automation: site operations run straight from the recorded history.
• Package management that works: finds the right package manager across AWS, Azure, GCP and cPanel/CloudLinux servers. It falls back to sudo -n for non-root users and explains what’s wrong when nothing resolves.
• The Brain: an AI assistant with memory and scheduled recipes. It supports Anthropic, OpenAI and local Ollama through one provider registry, so a new vendor is one row.

Security

• Passwords, passphrases and API keys are encrypted with the operating system’s credential store (Electron safeStorage) and never written to SQLite. The UI only ever learns whether a key exists.
• Context isolation is on, Node integration is off, and a typed preload bridge is the only door between the UI and the main process.
• SQLite FTS5 full-text indexes over commands, output and file events.

All five planned phases are built and shipped.
